Assisted Travel Lounge, Luton
Maplebrooke were required to complete a Shell & Core specification for London Luton Airport which entailed us creating a new Mezzanine Floor in an un-used space. Works were all completed within specified 'quiet' hours and we were required to have the area operation every day to allow for the area to be used during peak travel periods. Following the Shell & Core works Maplebrooke were awarded the fit out works which included fitting a new accessible toilet, new windows, flooring, lift works and installing custom furniture. Positive feedback was received from many parties and this area is now utilised by many guests every day.
Wasabi Fit Out, Luton
Maplebrooke successfully completed the shell and core works for the existing Food & Beverage unit and were subsequently awarded the full fit-out works, reflecting the client’s confidence in their delivery. This was a fast paced project with a demanding turnaround, involving the completion of numerous elements such as air conditioning installations, kitchen upgrades, fire stopping, and high-quality decorative works, all of which were carefully coordinated, with disruptive activities carried out out of hours to minimise impact. The completed project was delivered to a high standard and was very well received by both the client and the building landlord.
Morgan Quarter, Cardiff
These works were particularly complex due to the requirement to operate above a live shopping centre in the heart of Cardiff City Centre, which demanded careful planning and coordination throughout. Specialist scaffolding was suitably designed and installed to provide safe access to the work areas while also allowing a secure site compound to be maintained for the full duration of the works. The project was delivered across three phases and involved the removal of the existing cladding, replacement of the fire boarding and insulation with new compliant materials, and the careful reinstatement of the original cladding system. In addition, alterations were carried out to the balconies of the residential buildings, alongside associated decorative works, all completed to a high standard.
Logistics Centre, Weedon Bec
Maplebrooke acted as Principal Contractor on the successful refurbishment of the former Unipart Distribution Warehouse in Weedon Bec, delivering a full upgrade of both the office and warehouse facilities for the new tenant. The project included a full roof replacement to the warehouse and flat roof over offices, complete external redecoration of cladding and portal frames, installation of new loading docks and roller shutters and a full office refurbishment. Externally the areas were landscapes and new line markings installed around the perimeter of the site.
Pandora Fit Out, Luton
With limited time and restricted space, this project required tight coordination, precision planning, and a flexible approach to deliver a high quality fit-out within the constraints of a busy airside environment. We were required to complete a number of upgrades to this unit including power, data, ventilation and security shutters. Maplebrooke completed the finish spec to meet Pandora's specification to match a number of their stores nationwide
Priority Parking, Luton
Maplebrooke acted as the Principal Contractor for the delivery of the new priority parking service at Luton Airport’s Multi-Storey Car Park 1. All works were carefully coordinated around the 24/7 operation to fully refurbish the office and welfare facilities. The new Drop & Go Service enables users to drop off and collect their vehicles more efficiently with the upgraded systems. External graphics were applied to the office façade, and a new bay numbering system was introduced throughout the area. Prior to handover, the space was fully pressure-washed, creating a clean and welcoming environment for all users.
London Luton Airport, Luton
In response to the growing passenger needs and the overarching goal of enhancing the traveller experience, a significant project has was undertaken at London Luton Airport. The initiative focused on repurposing a currently redundant storage area into a modern and efficient toilet block, aimed at providing first-rate facilities for airport visitors. The successful transformation of the storage area into a state-of-the-art toilet block marks a significant milestone in London Luton Airport's ongoing efforts to improve passenger facilities.
Landside Terrace, Luton
The project required us to complete a Shell & Core of a redundant unit within Luton Airport. As part of the works we were also tasked with designing and building a landside terrace for a new bar to use. The works were in an area which was operational 24/7 so we had to plan works to minimise any disruption. With these works taking place in an airport environment all aspects had to meet the strict security requirements, whilst meeting the needs of our client of a high end finish.
Enham Arch, Andover
The project entailed a comprehensive shell and core strip-out of an industrial unit to meet the landlord's specifications. This involved the complete removal of non-structural elements, such as interior walls, ceilings, and flooring, effectively returning the unit to its bare structural shell. Careful attention was given to the safe disposal of materials and compliance with environmental regulations, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding area. By removing the outdated facades and unwanted installations, the project aimed to enhance the building’s appeal for potential future tenants.
Freemans Parc, Cardiff
The project focused on the demolition of an existing unit and the subsequent construction of a brand-new Coffee Pod. The initial phase involved meticulously removing the old structure, ensuring that the surrounding environment was protected and the demolition was conducted safely and efficiently. With the site cleared, the design team collaborated to create a modern, inviting space that balances contemporary aesthetics with functionality.
